Very good service and easy to deal with, rented for 31 days no communication/connect issue and battery last very long, longer than expected. I have refereed you to couple of my friends for their upcoming trip to Japan.

The high speed internet was nice. It got capped after 110mb, but it was still ok for light usage. Would definitely recommend this sim card to people who are just going to use it for google maps etc as it is more than enough for this purpose.
However, the cons is that the internet can be bad when you're underground (subway/ trains/buildings), but i'm not sure if this problem applies to all types of internet/gps connectivity including this sim card

The only thing I would like to say is that I had to reboot the two mobile phones for them to work. But the rest worked flawlessly. I'm very happy with the service.

Wonderful service, this saved our life many times during our trip on Japan. Being able to use internet all the time is very convenient, i.e. Google maps and info websites. We could leave our heavy guide in the hotel and only use our smartphones! The package was sent to our hotel and the return is very easy. The price is very honest for this service (and cheaper then most rental services), I will rent again for sure on my next visit to Japan!

Good and reliable, cheaper than rental services at KIX Airport

Rental service was very convenient to use. When I had questions about the extension plan, I got a response in late evening hours. It was very fast and the answer got me all information I asked for. The coverage was quite good, but I stayed mostly in big cities.
The only thing I have not liked is that I got to charge only ~60% battery of my phone from the portable charger I rented with the hotspot (it should hold more energy than that), but I'm aware that this may have been caused by the fact that I didn't charge the charger often enough. It seemed to be losing energy even when unused.
Nevertheless I can certainly recommend this rental service.

standard speed may occasionally get slower when indoors, bu outdoors it's quite a swift type of connection. good for video calls, navigation or whatevs, until you've reached a 110 mb daily limit.

As a foreigner I wanted to be able to phone within Japan. That is not possible. I do not need data-roaming as there are enough hotspots with free wifi. And phonecalls via internet (Skype, Whatsapp) are not always reliable. Some commercial numbers you cannot even call this way..
So simcard rental for me is useless.

SIM card was ready when I arrived and worked throughout my trip. No problems at all. Easy to use and affordable service.

We used our own pocket wifi device. Upon ordering the regular sim card size we received a personal mail asking if we ordered the correct size (which I had). I thought that was very attentive.

We traveled to several locations between Tokyo and Nagasaki. Coverage was not very good. Though we only seldom had no data connection, we never had any respectable Internet speed. It was okay for using navigation and Google search, which we rented it for. Disclaimer: we used 3G.

This was the cheapest option and great value. I can recommend it for simple users. Most hotels and hostels have good wifi connections anyway.

The limitation of 110 MB per day is quite annoying, to be hones, since it slowed down the speed. However, the cheap is very interesting

I would recommend CD Japan Rental to anyone. The card was at the hotel when I arrived as requested, it worked without a hitch in Kyoto and I could drop the self addressed envelope at the hotel to return it. They make the process easy and hassle free and the enclosed instructions to activate the card were easy to follow. I am going back to Japan next year and they will be my choise
