Wonderful experience.

Easy pick up and return system. Need to give better directions on where the pick up actually is instead of saying the Post Office. It is in the Dining and Shopping area of Terminal 1 in Narita airport, near the Starbucks.

Rental Wi-Fi arrived before the rental period. Language was in Japanese, but just needed to turn on and enter password and we were good to go

The service itself was good, they even delivered my pocket wifi directly to my hotel because the post office might be closed at narita.

I loved the service! It was very easy for pickup and return. The device worked perfectly during the entire trip. I specifically loved the communication about return, I made an error and reserved the device till the 24th, but actually needed it till the 25th. The email reminder about the return notice, prompted me to extend my rental by one day, which was extremely convenient and easily done by my phone. I would definitely use this service in the future.

The pocket router was small and easy to carry, and it worked very reliably for our family of four for 15 days. We personally had more than enough data (we had the Softbank WiFi 100GB plan) for navigation, YouTube and Facebook scrolling, games, etc. (we did use the free hotel wifi in the evenings most nights to be sure we didn’t run out of our 100GB). The device was waiting for us at our hotel when we arrived, and return was fast and easy (there are plenty of mailboxes around). Overall, our rental was a great and easy experience and I would choose CDJapan Rental next trip to Japan for sure.

Really convenient with the option to mail the pocket WiFi to an airport or accommodation, and being able to drop it at any postbox

It is very useful to have this device in Japan as I had roaming activated, but that is quite costly, but with this device for our family of 5 we were able to access the internet freely. The device was delivered to our hotel before we arrived and returned with a reply paid envelope which is a very efficient way for pick up and drop off. The only thing I would find as a negative was the battery life of the device was quite poor. I would usually charge it all night (approximately 10 to 12 hours) and take it in the morning between 8 or 9am and it will last until 3 or 4 pm in the afternoon. Then I would have to use my own battery bank. It also gets very hot while running sometimes which is worrying.

Ordering, receiving and handling was very convenient and easy and the price is very good. Service was helpful and friendly. But the reception of our device was pretty bad, especially in big cities.

Internet speed is good, device battery lasts easily the entire day, and price is reasonable.

Unfortunately i do not recommend this product, the 4G worked very slowly at the beginning of the year before I started having issues with the sim and took it to an Apple shop to help me log back into the sim . This would happen monthly . I thought it was because of my English phone but she I swapped it with a Japanese phone it was the same . Then it cut out completely and although it says it works and 4G is on . It still won’t work out and about . The 2 other girls who also bought this returned a lot earlier and got money back but I just didn’t use internet and silly me stays the whole year .

Very convenient service. The rental wifi was at my hotel in Tokyo upon arrival, therefore I could skip waiting in a long line while jet lagged. The portable wifi itself was small, never had a problem with service, even when I took it to Kyushu for an adventure. Will use this service again in the future!

良好的寄出和送回服務。有部份時間信號不是很好，網速也沒到很快，打手遊的ping 值就很浮動，也會出現卡住。發現信號就算在東京市內也不能長期5G，大部份時間都是4G，也可能是因為一直在4、5G中間跳，電量用得很快，早上9點開機，經常下午5，6點就沒電了，這點有點困擾，要跟手機電池搶電量。如果電量能保持起碼一天半就完美了。

Very easy to obtain. CDJapan shipped the item to our hotel as requested (since our plane came in quite late). It was hassle free and simple to return as well.

So easy to use, simply switch on and connect. Had great coverage, with only minor issues when in very busy areas (theme parks) or in deep tunnels
