The included charger did not work and I had to use one of our charger. The WIFI was a kind difficult to use since it was constantlu turned off.
The rental procedure is easy. You can have your material delivered at your address of choice as well as in hotels and even to main airports. A return envelope is also provided so you just have to drop everything off in a mailbox.
Device works great anywhere anytime.
The pocket wifi was dependable and easy to use! Always had wifi available. Small size was easy to carry around.
I’m a repeat user of the rental wifi. It’s been so convenient every time and I haven’t had any problems so far.
The router is very easy to use and the return of the router is also as easy as described. The internet connection was good.
Very easy to get, cheap and very easy to return at airport.
I have used CDJapan rental several times already and I am always very satisfied with the service. Answers to my questions have been quick and helpful. The rental and return process is very easy and convenient.
Since I was using 2 devices during my travel the Wi-Fi router was the best option for me. It worked very well and despite the hot weather, there were no issues with the device or connectivity whatsoever.
At the beginning I thought there were troubles with the device not charging properly. I was offered help by CD Japan staff immediately, which was really appreciated. It turned out that the device charged perfectly though, after I tried again with its own charger and at a different outlet (I believe maybe the USB outlet of the hotel that I first stayed in had an issue)
It was a great experience. We received the WiFi during check-in without even asking. The best part was how easy it was to use, working right out of the box. The only time we had connection issues was on the Shinkansen, which I think is normal and not a big deal. Returning the device was super easy as well. We loved it and will definitely choose your service again when we return to Japan.
可以寄到預訂旅館很方便，如果沖繩可以在國際機場取貨，可以多一個取貨方式，增加使用的便利性。
Perfect service, can't ask for more!
Perfect service, rental unit was already in the hotel on arrival and ready to use. Ready to use and very ready and fast.
Using the rental service allowed me to access Google Maps and other apps without which my holiday to Japan would not have been as enjoyable as it was, the service was easy to use and performed greater than my expectations.
it was great and convenient and helped a lot
The service was quick and of top quality. Easy to pick up and drop off at the convenient location. Also, the device was ready to use; just start the device and you're good to go.
Everything as promised, good service and good price.
Great service!
Easy to order and quick replies on my mails.
I mailed them alot because I did not know how everthing went, as it was my first time going to Japan but they were really kind and nice and helped alot. Would 100% recommend and when I go to Japan again I will order from here again. Greetings from The Netherlands :)
Very impressed with the device. Did not have to worry about SIM card not working on my phone. Very easy to use.
Fast and easy! Thank you for mailing it to the hotel and providing the return envelope. Excellent email communication.
Thanks for the stable internet connection throughout Japan.
Great service, very reliable, I had great internet connection during my 2 month stay in Japan. Also the logistics to receive / send back the SIM card were very smooth. Highly recommended!
Very useful, easy to use. Comfortable. I traveled from north (Sapporo) to south (Fukuoka Hakata) and I could use it without problem. I did go also to Nikko, Nara, and some smaller areas as Iwakuni. I had internet everywhere I needed. With more than 12 Mbps . I needed it to be sure to find my way, I always could open Google maps and search. I am impressed and grateful for the service you provide.
we chose the unlimited program because we traveled as a couple and didn't want any limitations. The pocket wi-fi worked perfectly and we were able to use it all day long without the need to recharge it. We highly recommend CDJapan pocket when traveling in Japan as a couple or a group.
Perfect service and communication
The service was prompt and I could change the location where the device was sent without any problems.
The price was fair and I was satisfied with the quality of the connection/ the WiFi pocket.
Rental was perfect. Item arrived at the hotel before I checked in, and the device got the service I required.
EXCELLENT!!! The rental procedure online is quick, efficient and painless! One recommendation: If having the Pocket WiFi mailed to an address in Japan, have the exact address handy (including the Building Number). If you get it wrong, not to worry, CDJapan will email you for clarifications.
Overall good. It arrived at the hotel on time, easy to set up and use. The device generally worked just fine but I had connection issues that fixed with just a reset. I had to carry a portable power bank since it typically couldn't go more than 5-6 hours. Communication was pretty easy through the website contact link with timely responses. I would probably use it again if price and reputation continue to be competitive.
